Note 90:

I have transliterated the months preserving local pronunciation, instead of using "standard" Nepali. Jeṭh is the second month of the solar year, corresponding to the house of Aries in the Western zodiac (mid-May to mid-June). The Hindu zodiac, however, was not realigned in the last millennium, and so lags one month behind; hence, the sign of Jeṭh is the bull (vṛkṣa). The other months mentioned here follow in consecutive order (see note š866).
