Note 71:

māndama (Alternate pronunciations mānnama, māndam, māndav) One of the seven levels of the world through which shamans travel. Ordinarily in the plural, māndamī, but here the singular reflects the unsorted, unstable flux of the early world. TiIīgramā is the lowest level, where the crafts of metalworking were originally learned (by the original shaman). The "solid and liquid world" (jalthal māndam) is our world's surface.
