Kāśīkasmerā (Local pronunciation; "kasmīrā" would be more "standard.") Commonly used to refer collectively to the holy areas of Kumāon and Garhwāl, northwest of Nepāl, which includes the headwaters of the Gaṅ–gā and Yamunā Rivers, and to indicate many other holy places outside Nepāl, including Kāśī (Banares).
