avyāgrī, vyāgrayā Any person who uses mantars. Watters (1975:166) notes that "when the shaman goes into ecstasy and reaches the spiritual plane, he refers to his equipment with the negative prefix mā. His head-dress is not-a-head-dress, his animal pelts are not-animal pelts, his drum not-a-drum, and so on." However, shamans in Jājarkoṭ do not use this construction, and I have also been unable to confirm it among Magars, even in Tākā where Watters worked; nevertheless, perhaps this passage reflects an imitation of such a construction.
