ṭhārī āraṇ, terchī āraṇ A blacksmith's hearth and forge (called by Karṇa Vīr in II.3 ṭhārī nāl, terchī dokān). Elsewhere (in II.1), the same adjectives are used to describe plowing. They can also apply to houses: most villages have a particular orientation that most houses follow, east-west, for example. Those houses are then "tercho," while those oriented perpendicularly are "ṭhāro."
