bhārmāthī In Abi Lal's version, āgani, "doorstep," an equally inauspicious place to spit.A version of this episode by Jaya Bahādur Rokāyā (who was not a shaman but who nevertheless had learned many of these texts), had several variants on the inauspicious things to perform. In his text, the daughter-in law is told to dry her clothes atop the drying rack, to place dirty pots beside the hearth, to kick the rice husker, and to spread juice of the kāli tipārī plant on her lips.
