Note 211:

jog The path of the planets, and of the sun and moon, takes them through the area surrounding twenty-seven fixed stars, called the nakṣatra, as well as through the twelve houses of the zodiac, the rāśi; the configuration of each planet with a rāśi is called a daśā, and that with a nakṣatra is a jog. Locally, a jog is thought to last only 4 or 5 hours, but astronomically its length varies for each planet. For example, a lunar jog ranges from a maximum of 66 ghaḍi (1 ghaḍi = 24 minutes) to a minimum of 56 ghaḍi.
